The Refuge Basket is a not-for-profit organization based in Ottawa, Canada, committed to restoring dignity, hope, and belonging to new immigrants, refugees, and low-income families. Through community-powered donations, we provide essential clothing, food supplies, and shelter support to those starting over.

We collect gently used household items, clean and restore them with care, and deliver them as baskets of comfort — or offer them at low cost to help sustain our mission. Our work is guided by compassion, powered by volunteers, and rooted in the belief that every person deserves to begin again with dignity.
